A significant energy centre control system providing LTHW services via an extensive distribution network serving 420 new build residential units. 2 x Gas Boilers generate the LTHW required across this large development with disparate control panels distributed across the 6 blocks all networked back to a common BMS supervisor PC.
Providing a full, turn-key solution including detailed design, panel manufacture, installation and commissioning, Imperium Building Systems were appointed by Woodford Heating & Energy to deliver the integrated controls for this impressive scheme which included the following:
- 2 x Gas Fired Boilers – primary heat sourse
- Heat exchand pumping station at each of the 6 blocks
- Speed controlled pumpsets based on system pressures
- Heat interface units (HIU’s) within each apartment
To simplify management of the systems across the development each control panel was network back to the centralised BMS supervisor PC via a common network backbone. This enables property managers to carry out routine maintenance, make adjustments to system parameters, and receive system alerts all from a single location, and also via remote web-connection from any location.
To enable future site development Imperium engineered expansion capability into the system, providing physical point redundancy in the panels and software functionality pre-programmed and ready for future CHP and boiler installations.
